 The Deco power of Black&White!

Light and dark, serenity and perfection, gloss and elegance…Coco Chanel said “Black has it all. White too. Their beauty is absolute. It is the perfect harmony.”  This inseparable duality has shaped the history of fashion, architecture and design and continues to be reinvented in new patterns while still preserving the vintage charm of the past!

Checked gingham skirts and dresses have become part of interior design! The floral motifs, geometric patterns and animal prints are stripped of colour and delivered in a neat and elegant Black&White. This traditional duo is breaking the rules to take over floors, walls and facades of homes, restaurants and shops everywhere! Amazing!

Full on Retro

Naparbier | Lázaro Rosa-Violán

Naparbier | Lázaro Rosa-Violán

The prestigious studio Lázaro Rosa-Violán has used this classic combination to create the designer floor at the Naparbier Barcelona, a brew-pub located in the Eixample district of Barcelona. Using Hisbalit’s unique Art Factory personalisation service, the designers created a black and white floral pattern in mosaic tiles which lends the establishment a retro feel, combining industrial chic with an  antique touch.

To add character to the space, the designers chose Hisbalit’s Identity mosaic tiles in hexagonal format to personalise the entrance with the name “Naparbier”. The colours of the Identity mosaic tiles are highly durable, unaffected by the pedestrian traffic or weather. The black and white design was installed on the floor of the entryway as way to emphasise the values of elegance and security.

Floors with contrast

La Mamona | Proyecto Singular

The white flowers take on new power when drawn in black. This was the vision of Proyecto Singular when it designed this incredible floor for La Mamona, one of the trendiest restaurants in Aravaca, Madrid. Mosaic tiles were used to create a floral pattern with geometric lines in diamond shapes around the flowers.

A floor of contrasts and symmetry flowing in perfect harmony with the wood furnishings and industrial ceiling giving an air of striking and mischievous fun.

Totally “In LOVE”

If there is a perfect form to sum up tradition and modernity, it is the incredible floor of “La Duquesita”. This historic bakery was beautifully restored by Madrid In Love, transmitting that magic of the past with subtle contemporary touches. The personalised floor in hexagonal tiles is an elegant geometric play of black and white, in harmony with the black marble of the bar and table.

Creativity knowns no colour!

Tatoo barbershop's Stephen James Barcelona

The new tatoo barbershop of the famed model Stephen James is proof that traditional patterns of Black&White are being reinvented. The floors of this spectacular locale reproduce the design of his most emblematic tattoos.. in mosaic tiles! The customised design, crafted using Hisbalit’s exclusive Art Factory service, uses hexagonal tesserae in white fading into black to create a geometric interplay of star, lines and shapes.

Animal print facades

The animal print kingdom, after years of neglect, is back with a vengeance! Acquiring new protagonism in the world of interior design, bold Black&White designs are a guaranteed success for the most daring facades!

On this building in Austria, irregular bands in black colour break the monotony of simple white, creating a strikingly modern and decorative zebra skin effect. The bold design, created using Hisbalit mosaic tiles, projects an image of personality, innovation and modernity.
