2.REFORM P-651 | SUAV

A complete renovation by SUAV estudio digital & arquitectura in collaboration with the architect and designer Carmen Ana de Miguel. Together they created this home/exhibition space inspired by the atmosphere of ‘Paris, Texas’ by filmmaker Wim Wenders.
The design needed to create a flexible spatial environment that responds to the changing needs and activities of the new owner: painting workshop, art studio or cinema.
The bathroom is split in the French or Japanese style, creating an intimate washroom space bursting with vibrant colour. The bath area incorporates laundry facilities, shower and bathtub.
To add continuity and a unique designer style, Hisbalit mosaic tile from the DOTS mosaic tile was used for the walls and floor.
The polka dot design is strikingly contrasted by mustard yellow. An irresistible combination!

3.EL CAMINO RESTAURANT | ZOOCO ESTUDIO
Zooco Estudio took charge of the design of this Asia restaurant specialising in different types of raw fish. The result is a warm, welcoming and relaxed atmosphere with views of the El Sardinero beach in Santander.
The striking geometry of the space recalls the waves of the sea divided into 3 bands. The lower band consists of the circular dining booths and the bar; with a hard, contrasting intermediate band along the walls and an upper band with embedded lighting fixtures and the surface over the bar.
For the washrooms, the designers selected an eco-friendly mosaic tile in green, Hisbalit’s Niebla 360 in circular format.

4.PANISTAS BAKERY | ZOOCO ESTUDIO
Textures, colours and materials that transport us “to the earth”, discovering the origins of bread. Zooco Estudio created a warm and inviting atmosphere using all-natural materials for the artisanal bakery Panistas in Santander. In this project, the studio laid bare the original structure of the locale, leaving exposed the natural wood beams and posts.
For the bathroom, the designers selected eco-friendly mosaic tile, specifically the Doppel 568 from Hisbalit. A simple and harmonious collection in matte finish that reproduces the look and feel of natural stone.

5.CHIDO SANTA ENGRACIA| MOCA ESTUDIO
A Mexican restaurant with warm colours that pay tribute to curved organic forms and handcrafted tradition. MOCA estudio designed a space with a warm and serene atmosphere, with organic forms and rough textures that evoke the Mexican desert.
The design studio carefully combined the spaces, creating two atmospheres in the locale, with distinct volumes and qualities, working to create a smooth transition from one space to another, achieving a magical feeling of continuity. The designers chose a range of neutral colours connected to nature: from terracotta to different shades of brown, beige and sandy colours. They also created organic surfaces using natural materials and rough textures throughout the locale.
One of the materials that embodies artisanship and sustainability is the eco-friendly Yeso mosaic tile from the Raw Hisbalit collection, used to surface the walls and the curved entranceways serving as a transition from one space to another.

6.ROOFTOP GARDEN OF THE O´DONELL MATERNITY HOSPITAL | PADILLA NICÁS ARQUITECTOS
Fotos: José Hevia
This project was an initiative of the Juegaterapia Foundation to transform the rooftop of the O’Donell Maternity Hospital into a playground where child patients can play outdoors. The result is an abstract space that inspires fantasy and imagination far from the daily routines of the hospital.
The neutral glass façade of the hospital building provides the backdrop for this strikingly colourful and playful design by Padilla Nicás Arquitectos. Using multicoloured surfaces, the flat roof is divided into different play spaces in vivid and inspiring contrast to the original building.
The curvilinear forms in white concrete, with differing heights and dimensions offer protective shade and shelter while reflecting the varied colours and textures, creating attractive and vibrant spaces called “the clouds” of the roof garden.
One of the materials chosen to provide a creative and playful surface to the roof was Hisbalit mosaic tile, reference Unicolor 103 Hisbalit in white with a gloss finish, reflecting he different colours and lightening the feel of the concrete structures.

7.ELÍAS HOUSE | CREUSECARRASCO ARQUITECTOS
Photos: Luis Díaz Díaz
A complete renovation of a home located in the historic centre of Corcubión, La Coruña. The façade of the building was left unchanged, blending into the historic urban environment and in striking contrast to the interior patio bursting with light and fluid movement.
Given the limited span of the façade and its norther orientation, it was important to bring natural light into the home. The design studio CreuseCarrasco arquitectos opted to create an interior “covered patio” beside the entrance and stairwells. This radical reinterpretation transformed the interior, creating different levels of visual and formal relations, with different forms of permeability.
Despite the small dimensions of the structure, the creation of an open interior space throughout the height of the building, joining entrances and stairwells, allowed for a clear distribution of the private spaces within and using a wooden structure to filter the natural light.
