We’re making a stop at Paseo de la Castellana 62, to discover the new restaurant from Grupo La La La, one of the hottest locales in Madrid. The secret of its success? Mediterranean cuisine, a perfect location and beautiful interior design.
The hallmark of this new project by MRGO Arquitectos is its casual, light-hearted elegance. With high quality materials, a tasteful addition of plants and an elegant design,La Mamona Castellana. is a place for people to relax and enjoy themselves. This is a high-end bar-restaurant with a 235m2 interior and an outdoor bar and garden. The perfect setting for lunch or an afterwork get-together with live music.

La Mamona is a modern reinterpretation of a luxury bar/restaurant, in stark contrast to its surroundings at the foot of a modern, rectilinear office building with a glass façade. This makes the restaurant’s verdant garden space and strikingly bold aesthetics particularly inviting.
Yes to curves!

Curves, the hottest new trend, are one of the keys to the visual impact of the project, combined with the elegant furnishings, a striking palm tree design, the distribution of the space and the use of different materials on the floors.
Mosaic tile carpet inspired in music

The floors are another unique feature of the space, A sophisticated and hand-crafted carpet in eco-friendly mosaic tile from Hisbalit. The studio MRGO Arquitectos selected the ARPEGIO model from the Black & White Hisbalit collection to create a design inspired by music and created using hexagonal tesserae in black and white with a satin finish.

This is a timeless tandem that gives the restaurant a unique personality; the perfect combination of modern and classic for a locale that is both luxurious and edgy.

Wild and warm interior design

The colour green (used on the curved bar, the seating upholstery and the tasteful plant arrangements) is not only the corporate colour of La Mamona but also one of the design highlights of the project. The colour, the fine wood features and the use of eco-friendly materials create a space that is “warm and inviting with an edgy, untamed feel”.

The careful lighting and painstaking attention to detail make this a very special space. The designers note that every table is first rate, with views of the entire restaurant from any position.

The studio was able to create distinct areas and intimate corners without dividing the space by using different materials on the floors and changing the style of the seating (benches, chairs and stools).
