1.“CASA NUBE” I Studio Animal

In this renovation, Studio Animal transformed an old, 95m² flat in Madrid into an ample, luminous and functional space, establishing a clear separation between public and private areas. The ‘public’ or social area consists of a white, multifunctional space incorporating the kitchen, living room, dining room and reading area, optimising the natural light and ventilation. The private area, in vibrant colours, includes two symmetrical bedrooms with twin bathrooms accessible through a curved “cloud”. The bathrooms, surfaced in Hisbalit’s eco-friendly mosaic tile in pink and orange, present a strikingly creative curved geometry. The project was the winner of the Frame Awards 2024 and the FAD Prize for Interior Design 2024.

The bathroom is an example of how design can transform a space. Here the designers used the Algodón mosaic tile from Hisbalit’s RAW collection. The white colour of the tile is highlighted by the contrasting blue grouting, a unique combination that artfully evokes the maritime environment.
